I really think Nintendo is about to drop a giant bomb on us today. This September Direct feels different. People are talking loud. Rumors are everywhere right now. We need facts. Here is what is likely coming down the pipe.
The Hardware Cost
The Switch 2 price is defnitely going up. It sucks a lot. But it makes sense. The market changed fast. Parts cost way more money. Nintendo wants to profit. Prepare your wallets for a hit. I expect a big price tag.
Big Games Coming
They are planning a new 3D Mario. It will drop in 2027. Ten long years is a bad wait. Fans are starving for it. We need a real follow up. This could be it. A true proper sequel.
I want Mettroid I mean Metroid to return. Maybe a Super Metroid remake hits first. Or we get the new 2D sequel. Both sound great to me. I am ready for Samus again.
Fan Favorites Returning
Luigi needs some love. Luigi's Mansion 4 is a very safe bet. The last game sold crazy numbers. It is time for another ghost hunt. Next Level Games is ready.
Kirby will show up too. The pink guy always does. A new Kirby game is expected soon. I bet it is a fresh platformer. We will see tomorrow.
Third Party Plans
Third party support remains strong. Capcom has huge plans. Resident Evil remakes will hit the new console. They want to port the second game. Also the third one. And the fourth game too. Getting those running portable is huge. People love shooting zombies on the bus.
I expect big surprises. Keep your expectations in check though. Nintendo does what it wants. They ignore logic sometimes. We just play the games.
