Armored Mewtwo is Finally Back
I honestly never thought they would bring it back. Six years is a very long time to wait for a simple mobile game event. But here we are.
Armored Mewtwo is hitting five-star raids next weekend. Set your alarms for September 5th and 6th.
It is a massive releese, I mean release, for players who started after 2020. The old players already have it sitting in their accounts. Now everyone else gets a fair chance to catch one.
There is a catch though. Shiny forms are totally locked for this specific event. That is a real letdown. We want the shiny version. Maybe they will give it to us next decade.
You defintely still want to raid hard. Just seeing it in the gym is cool.
Mega Mewtwo Adventure Effects
The big news does not stop with the raids. Adventure effects are live right now for Mega Mewtwo X and Y.
You do not even need stardust to activate them. You just spend some mega energy and regular candy.
Here are the main mechanics to remember:
Adventure effects cost energy and candy
Mega-evolved Pokémon gain a third charged attack
Extra moves work in PvP battles
You do not need stardust for these effects
That third charged attack is a huge deal. It completely changes how the battles work. You can break two shields fast.
Players in the Go Battle League will have to adapt quickly. The meta is going to shift.
