Apple First Folding Phone Is Overpriced Nonsense
Apple is making a total mistake with this new folding phone. I really think so. The iPhone Ultra price tag is just pure madness. Two thousand dollars minimum. Up to twenty five hundred bucks. Nobody asked for a phone that costs as much as a used car.
Still, people will buy it. It has two screens. The front outer screen, I mean screen, measures 5.5 inches. You open it up like a book. Then you get a huge 7.8 inch display inside. It looks like an iPad mini. It folds right in half. Fits in your pocket easily.
I think the inner screen looks pretty cool. But folding screens break easily. Everyone knows this fact.
Strange Changes You Need To Know
Apple dropped Face ID on this model. They put Touch ID back on the side power button instead. My tech buddies said that feels like a step backward. But it saves space inside the thin body. The phone is very thin when open.
The cameras are pretty strange too. You get two 48 megapixel lenses on the back. Main sensor and ultrawide. There is no telephoto zoom lens at all. That is a definitly huge bummer for a phone this expensive. You pay way more money. Yet you get fewer camera lenses. That makes zero sense to me.
Software And Daily Use
You can run two apps side by side on the main display. That sounds useful for work. You can watch videos and send texts at the same time.
Battery life might be an issue. Two screens take a lot of power. Apple used two battery cells inside to help with that.
